A dead man walking the bridges
Death on his trail
With a singleminded mission
To evade extinction
The colors
The battles
It all fades in the rain
Whatever it soaks
Grinds away
We’re at war
Defend the shore
Dark water
Splashed across my face
A black beach on the end of days
I am
Stranded
And branded
To waste away on this plane
Whatever the stakes
I can’t escape my fate
We’re at war
Defend the shore
Dark water
Splashed across my face
A black beach on the end of days
This is the bullet, the gallows
The end of the line
Tie the rope one last time
Pull me out
from the end of days
Can a stick become a rope?
Revolt and build a ladder
Can a stick become a hope?
Revolt and climb the ladder
Can the stick become my hope?
Evaluate what really matters
What really matters
Dark water
Splashed across my face
A black beach on the end of days
This is the bullet, the gallows
The end of the line
Tie the rope one last time
So pull me out
Yeah pull me out
Dark water
Splashed across my face
A black beach on the end of days
Don’t end my days
Pity that I could not find the deluxe edition with LoG's Laid to Rest. Nevertheless I wanted to add Elegy to my BC collection. It's unique as it is a delightful mix of symphony and deathcore. The vocals are just the perfect "5th element" that allows both styles to intertwine perfectly. Ben Duerr is the perfect vocalist for this role. The Elegy trilogy at the end is just the apotheose of death-gasm, it's a good trip down to memory lane as I've seen S.O.I. live last year! sachavonkarl74
